"Unbeatable lessons for Juniors" by Robert Snyder is a very good book!
Also, "Logical Chess: Move by Move" by Chernev is a bit older but very clear and instructive collection of games with variety of openings.

I've read the Silman books some time ago, and it has forever changed my way of thinking about chess. The only problem is I don't always read the board correctly, so I don't always understand why certain moves are played. It may be time for me to re-read those books. Can anyone recommend software (chessbase?) or a book that annotates a collection of instructive games? My level is probably between the Winning Chess series, and the Silman books.
thanks,
Scott
