Another new Millennium eBoard?

There’s no info about a new board on Millennium’s website, but Chess House has a listing for a new model called “The King Competition.” It’s styled like the eOne, but in a larger size, no automatic piece recognition, and without built in bluetooth. It’s listed as in stock for $399.

Why would they make a board without bluetooth? Seems like a plot to sell those external chesslinks.  It's 2022 time to go wireless.

I understand your point, but the lack of auto recognition is the puzzler for me. With piece recognition this would be a great competitor for the DGT Centaur but offering better computer capabilities and the option of online capability.

The King Competitor is practically the plastic value version of Millennium's The King Performance machine which was in wood.

Here's a chess.com thread bringing attention to chesshouse's blog review of this new product.
