I simply love that …. wonderful. Thanks for posting!
Anri Space Age Chess Set

Goodmerning. Excuse me. I want to ask you a favor. I had seen your set on Ricardo.ch and I can tell you that you got a good deal. I have the same Chess set but I lost the flyer. Yours is in German but it doesn't matter.
Can I ask you to make me a color scan into a PDF file? So I would print it on cardstock...
You would have my full gratitude. Thanks, Marco.

I missed this message somehow. I have to check where the set is, probably in my apartment. I will right in my agenda and try to do the PDF in the next days. If you don’t hear from me just contact me privately, ok?

You are very kind. You give me a nice Christmas present.
I'll try to contact you in private. I hope I'll be able to...
I remain of course in your debt. Thanks, Marco.

By the way, this is one of the items I will probably try to sell in the Paul Klee Museum in Bern, Switzerland, 25 and 26 November. People from here or on vacation should tell me which kind of chess items I should take to the market. My collection is pretty large with some quality items. Clocks, sets, boards, books (new and old), pictures , computers (Novag Adversary!!), etc. Just let me know, as I can transport only a fraction of my collection ( I am also selling several other antiques).

I have the original set in the wooden case with the original chess board (which has a stamp on the back). It is in perfect condition. I don't use it. Would only sell to someone in the UK.

Hello everyone
I've just listed mine for sale here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235652933173 if you're looking.
I'm getting ready to list a Herman Ohme Danish set from 1960, a Jaques Of London, and an F.H.Ayres Tavern Set too, as I've found my lifetime set and need to be ruthless with myself now.
Silky

... and need to be ruthless with myself now.
Sorry for that. I've found that similar ruthlessness leads to regret creeping back at odd times.

Oh, don't feel sorry for me @grandpatzerdave! I'm the luckiest man alive, but I need fewer things to make more space for clarity.
And guitars.
Uh-oh.

That's hilarious! I went the other way - from guitars everywhere to chess sets everywhere...and I still miss my tech books.
Many years ago I purchased an Anri Space Age Chess Set (in walnut box) in Bern, Switzerland. Many groups of collectors are interested in this set: collectors of modern sets, people interested in design, and people collecting space age items.
Today I received a second set I purchased online (Ricardo). This time in an original cardboard box and with information about the set. This set was produced for the German speaking countries (the information is in German).
These sets were first sold 1958. The designer Arthur Elliot worked first as an animator for Disney Studios, later as a product designer.
