However, someone on Talkchess is reporting that there appears to be some kind of Javascript malware on the Arena site. Although it seems that the actual downloads may be OK, you might want to avoid the site if you're not protected from Javascript attacks.

I just tried the Link to playwitharena and my AV denied access and said object is infected with Heur.Trojan.Script.Generic
The website seems to be infected, possibly hacked. The Arena files themselves are clean, according to AVG. Here's links to download the files directly.

Thanks for that. I don't normally use Arena, but currently Fritz is playing up with activation issues, so an alternative would be useful.
I like the idea of a portable version, so will try it out.
