Yes, filing with the BBB will get their attention real quick. I had to do this with a company that refused to refund shipping charges after they delivered (and I returned) 2 bike racks that were clearly not new. After no response for over a month I had my refund within a day.
Although it seems a post here at chess.com has the same effect :)

I have ordered several times from Chess Geeks, and also from Galen Pyle before he founded that company. Every time I've ordered from him, I've gotten a quality chess set at a below-expected price, on time. 10/10, would Chess Geeks again.

Was at their site tonight, sure can't beat those prices on plastic sets with free shipping. They have a limited selection but what they have looks very nice and priced right.

wiscmike, I was looking for a couple of prizes for an in-school tournament and I got just what I needed, just when I needed it, and at the right price. Worked out perfectly. Quite serendipitously, actually.

Same here only I donate many sets each year to the local food pantry so they can hand them out as birthday or holiday gifts to families. I just hope a couple sets each year will be welcome into a household. It doesn't take much to have hundreds of hours of fun with a chess set. If I had to choose the first chess set I ever had (very cheap whitman I recall hollow chess pieces, I even got a hold of some felt and glued it on each piece) and a vacation trip (to anywhere outside the big city we lived in) I would choose the chess set.
This year to simplfy things this year I bought the DGT Grey and Blue sets off of WSC on their Thursday dealeo.
I feel like I have to pay forward the hobby some how and can't think of a better dirct way. Many kids will never get exposed to chess and I am sure the set I buy and doante will be tossed int he garbage the first day. I will also enclose all the basic rules downladed from the internet along with many url's that will make it easier for them to play.
I have to admit the money I spend on this every year does me good so maybe it is for selfish motives. 
Maybe the Chess Geeks can put together a dozen sets for me at a great price next year if they read this. Club quality sets are fine for this.

That is great you have th resources for this. If you are worry they don't play the sets then maybe you should donate to a chess club.
