Whoaaa the first one is another gem! The 2nd is intriguing alright! Not a Chavet though but still I like it very much! Either the knight is oversized or the monarchs are small, but judging from your question I think it's a really big set, 12cm KH and 64cm board?

140 cm the board and 27 KH

Hoooooly moooooly!

and here's another 6, which I'm trying to get. It has the same characteristics as the xxl that I already have. to be continued...

TheOneCalledMichael

Oh my, another one I'm drooling over! What's with that queen? Never seen one like that.

Walterbiensur

May be the Queen from the « club » one

Would require some clarification… after 1990

TheOneCalledMichael

Brilliant, thanks!

Chavet n°8 from 1982

3 variants of 8. Old on the left, recent on the right.

Just for fun ;-)

And here is a final varnish finish for a club size

Club and 10

That's all folks ;-)

TheOneCalledMichael

amazing buddy!

Another set that I have trouble identifying. No mark on the box. Club size. The more I compare it to Club de Chavet or Club Lardy, the fewer doubts I have. And you ?

Walterbiensur

And for those who like to compare, here is a little puzzle. Answer in a week ;-)

I have size 5 (KH88mm) Lardy and Chavet and both are exact the same except for the knights. I inclined to believe it's Lardy made by Chavet because the bishop and queen is more Chavet like than Lardy.

Sweet! Is that handwritten by Henri Chavet himself?

To my shame, I don't own a Chavet...yet. Those are exquisite and that's also a beautiful board Walter. Thanks for sharing.

eBay, Sir!  B210 prices are, well, pricey but you can find a B207 every once in a while.  There are some smaller sets available too but not for cheap.
