Chess Bazaar Urban Street Art Set
What do you guys think.? It looks like it might be very popular in inner city schools or in coffee shops. Forgot to say that the nice photo is from the Chess Bazaar site.

I was wondering when someone was going to post about these. I saw the email this morning and immediatly hated them, then I kind of liked them, then I saw the price and laughed.
The set does have a certain amount of charm. Why the monster 4.4 King though? You would need a huge board to play with this set.!! The price is kina steep but, it is a 4.4 inch King after all.

Vik contiues to make 4.4" sets becasue he told me the labor is almost the same so I am giving the people more for their money. He truly believes this. Also it's just box wood and priced way too high IMHO. Not that I wouldn't buy a set if the price was right ($99) . It does have a flair to it.

I think it would be very hard to play with. you could achieve the same effect with a plastic tournament set and some paint.

This is clearly just "oops we got paint on a couple of pieces in this set, so let's try and make something out of it."
Any other explanation would make me weep.

Reminds me of those spinning plates you squirt paint on as a child at the fair... I’m feeling dizzy already. Ops, too late, there goes dinner.
