Yep... kinda reminds me of white iceing & sprinkles. The set is guaranteed to annoy your oponent bigtime.!
Chess Bazaar Urban Street Art Set

Looks like somebody locked a room full of kindergarden kids in with a box of paints and a chess set.
In my opiinion this set is a novelty.
Honestly, I would pay no more than $85 shipped. And I would have to think about it at any price. Would I ever use the set to play a game? I doubt it.
It's kind of like the silicone set they came out with awhile back. I got one for $12 or something like that, included with an order that was coming to me anyway.
I played 2 or 3 games with it. It just didn't play well. So we put those pieces aside and went back to my Liberty Series set from HoS.
I ended up giving the set to a 6th grade girl in our chess club. Honestly, I would never play a game with those.
I have the same feeling about this set. Sure it's artistic and very modern with the paint swirls. I just can't see playing any kind of a chess game with it, no matter what the price.

Eye, I feel the same way. Why buy a set that I'm never going to use? And for the same reason I wouldn't buy one of those fancy sets, like the one shown below -- the design is so busy it's distracting.

Agreed Lou way too busy for me the set you posted. But that abstract art set of CB is starting to grow on me but I am sure they would never lower the price down to where I would buy it anyways.
Most all the so called modern knights with those huge manes are not appealing to me but they must be selling because they sure have a ton of designs with those type of knights in them.

I agree, wiscmike. Some of the knights are too flambouyant. It overstates their importance on the board.
Regarding the original post - I honestly think the set looks really nice.
