I can't offer a definitive answer, but I have Laszlo Polgar's 5334 book. It wont explicitly teach you any mating patterns, but the repetition of themes should help you realise most of the basic ones.

Don't be put off by the title - it's a great book.
However, for learning I think dedicated software is probably best.
Hey, everyone. I've come to realize that although I've been studying many areas of chess, I've neglected to spend time on mating patterns.
I was wondering if any of you could recommend books, programs, articles, videos, etc. that can help me study mating patterns.
I've done some research and the results have been fairly inconclusive as to what the best method or tool is for learning mating patterns. In the past I've received great success asking the Chess.com community for advice on matters such as these.
Does anyone have any recommendations for resources or tools I can use to study mating patterns?
Thanks in advance for the answers
