on the TV there are many scenes involving Kevin Spacey at a Chess Board in the series "..House Of Cards.."
Really? Must have missed it. I've seen, on that series, a set in one of the bedrooms in the White House residence, but never saw anyone playing on it. (And of course, the pieces were set up wrong.)

The robot - like all robots on television in the 1970s - was the same as the one out of "Forbidden Planet"

This was also one of the first episodes directed by a young kid (very talented) named Steven Spielberg.
