I have seen online a few places that sell various chess variant pieces. I am looking for the Amazon in plastic. Does anyone know of a site or company that carries it? Thank you in advance.

Musketeer Chess and House of Stanton sell a kit that includes the Dragon and Spider.

This is a quote from HOS:

Dragon and Spider Kit

The Dragon combines powers of a Queen and a Knight. It exists in many chess variants and is known by other names such as Amazon, Commander. It is among the most powerful pieces of the known chess variants. The Dragon top is pegged and can be removed (to handle with care).

This may provide what you need.....

If you get two sets of Leopard & Cannon along with two sets of Hawk & Elephant. Combine them with a standard Staunton set (Marshall Plastic). You have all you need to play Xiangqi (Chinese Chess). Just have to get or make a Xiangqi board.

I have been thinking of getting a good plastic set. But i kind of like the Reykjavik set better than the Marshall. I prefer the more rounded bishop's head, The pointy heads dont appeal to me. I just wish the Reyjavik king had a cross on its head.

The Reykjavik is a nice affordable set but I don't like the Pawns. They seem to thin in the neck area. Just wished that the Pawns were a bit beefier. I do like the spherical head of the Bishops in the Reykjavik as well. The Reykjavik King does have a cross on it. You might like the Ultimate Chess Pieces set as well if you like the Reykjavik set. They are going for $20 now at American Chess Equipment. If you don't mind the bold yellow color. This is a much better set than the plastic Reykjavik set. Fairly close in price as well.

You know I think itd be kinda nice if there was a company that would allow you to mix and match pieces to get the set you want.

That is why I am having The Chess Empire make me a custom set. It is more expensive but at least you can get to pick designs you love most about a chess set. It is wooden only though.

This set right here is smooth.

Yeah that is. Have a friend who has the same set. Wouldn't use it for tournament but casual club play is OK to use.

"4. The goal for the Jedi is to eliminate checkmate the Sith Master. "     I think someone needs to make the grammar more clear here.  Perhaps "4. The goal for the Jedi is to eliminate or checkmate the Sith Master"?   Whatever is meant, it needs to be cleared up.    "eliminate checkmate the Sith Master" doesn't make sense.

Also what do all the "Â"s on the page mean?
