Chessbase database question

Hi, I've read many useful topics about how to fix/delete duplicated identical games.

But I have this other similar question I can't find an answer: ¿does anybody know how to manage (unifying) two different players which result are the same? For instance NAKAMURA, HIKARU, and NAKAMURA, H; apparently as different players but obviously not, and how to join both as one unique entry, thx

Hi,

I had a similar situation in my Database, but I was unable to come up with an easy method.

I decided to delete the entire (huge) database I had, and rebuild it (took me several hours) using only the very highest quality sources, like MegaDB and TWIC.

I was looking through the Chessbase help files and you should have the ability to edit the player names. Go to your Database file, on the players tab, Control+Click on the duplicate names that you want to unify. Right click on the names, there should be a pop-up and look for Edit. From there you can change the name so all games will be under that one name.
