Having this as an iOS app would definitely be huge - I’d be happy to pay for an app like this.
As would I, especially if it scaled properly on an iPad.
The big question is always - "is it worth the lift?"

Do chrome extensions work on Linux? I’m curious because I’m thinking about using my Steam deck, which is easy to install chrome. I’m currently waiting on my USBC upgrade kit for my DGT board and when I get it, would love to try this on my Steam Deck.

"Yes".

...but upgraded DGT e-Board is something I have still trouble with. But I am on it.

What do you mean? USB-C board is working for others with your extension. I have the older USB mini and that does not work, so I ordered the upgrade kit. I can't remember who posted but I will find it.
Just installed the 3.2.12 beta to test with my DGT USB board. Board connects and shows green in chess.com, however, when I start a game with a bot/computer, no pieces are moved when I move them on the board. I do have the mini USB version, not the usb C version. Wondering if that makes a difference? Also, does this work with the chess.com bots? Thanks again
Hello @androp, somehow linked to your situation, even if not directly addressing your issue: I had a DGT mini-USB board as well, and I ordered from DGT the so-called "USB-C upgrade Kit", which basically consists of a couple of interface boards, cable and connectors that you install in your DGT board, transforming it from mini-USB to USB-C.
I had to do so, since the mini-USB was giving me connection issues with Acid Ape, the app that I use on my android device. Since the upgrade, no more issues, connection with the PC and the android device is fully reliable.
There should still be a forum thread from me on this subject.
Hope this (somehow) helps.
AG
This was the post @joernupbde Looks like AG is using USB-C board, upgraded just like me. Once I have the kit in a week or so, I will let you know. Thanks again for all your hard work.
Works brilliantly for me too with my DGT Smart Board USB against a BOT. I used Edge browser and it works on there too - being Chrome under the covers I expected it to. Promotion and Castling worked just fine. Didn't get an En Passant opportunity but I'm confident of all being well. 👍

Bravo, bravo. The addition of Pegasus is a great add on because of the light weight board. It truly makes a nice portable setup to bring along on trips. If I can get my usual pieces re-felted by Sunday night I am going to take it on my business trip next week.
About 10 days ago I got an e-chess board Tabutronic Sentio 45 mm square for the price of €361 with shipping. The board is extremely aesthetic and very beautiful. Together with the board, you also get very nice figures, but unfortunately, due to the magnets and small design, they attract each other annoyingly, although you can play with them, but carefully. So I equipped my pieces of equivalent dimensions with maybe very minimal slightly weaker 15mm diameter X 1mm thick neodymium magnets and it all works phenomenally with the chessconnect app on Lichess and Chess.com. I play for 10 minutes or more and there are no problems either when moving the opponent's pieces or when moving my own. I was looking for a board with a square of 45 mm because the DGT Pegasus was too small for me, despite the fact that the DGT Pegasus also works perfectly through android applications. Tabutronic also works perfectly through Android applications, but somehow I prefer to use it through PC and Windows. The difference between DGT Pegasus and Tabutronic is that DGT Pegasus has a built-in rechargeable battery, while Tabutronic is powered from a PC or from a phone or tablet. I think that the power supply from the device is much better, because the batteries wear out and you have to buy new ones. In addition, the battery of the DGT Pegasus is extremely bad and when it gets below 50% charge it needs to be charged and the panel calibrated several times, but the easiest solution is to additionally connect a power bank. Therefore, I am much more satisfied with the method. that Tabutronic has, you connect it to a PC or phone and there is no problem with energy and no problem with calibration. Finally, I can say that for the price of €361 Tabutronic is really a very good purchase, and I am really satisfied with the board and enjoy playing chess.
I appreciate your views @KNAVFAR, and am glad you have a board you like, but a few points -
The Pegasus squares are 41 mm (just measured with calipers), does the 4 mm extra size really make that much of difference? I have a wooden board with 45 mm and unless they are side by side I cannot tell the difference.
The Pegasus does not use magnets in the pieces so you can modify just about any piece with a simple metallic tape/label (as I have done with 3 different sets). I am in the process of modifying 4th (my 3rd wooden one). Very simple process. With felt over the metallic sticker you cannot even notice.
As for the Pegasus recharging, I am not sure what you mean by it being "extremely bad" when it is under 50%. I have had my Pegasus for almost 2 years now and do not have that issue. I have used it in games when the battery has gotten down to 25% and it worked fine.
I do not have to recalibrate it much at all, usually only when I have carried it off somewhere. The calibration takes less than 60 seconds.
It does not seem that you have had a Pegasus, but maybe I am wrong.
I also just looked at my receipts, I did not pay nearly what you paid for your Tabutronic, in fact I paid just a little over half of that.
Again, happy you found a board you are satisfied with and enjoy playing chess on. That, after all, is the goal - to enjoy this game as much as possible.
Rsava ........I have a DGT Pegasus and it was bought in Slovenia in the chess shop Muba., but you can think what you want. It is true what you say, that the method of detecting the pieces in the DGT pegasus is metal, not magnetic, and it is enough if you cover the pieces with aluminum foil below, that I also did it, because the original figures, although again very nicely designed, seemed a bit too big for me. But as far as the battery is concerned, it is so. As you wrote, you don't have these problems, but if you go and look on the forums, you will read in many places that many Pegasus owners had problems with the battery. The battery itself is connected to the connector and can be removed. I did it myself, because after 2 years it was totally useless, but unfortunately I couldn't find it either on Amazon or elsewhere. Otherwise, as I wrote, I connected everything to the power bank and now with the battery removed it shows 99% on my phone, and at these percentages, of course, the board works perfectly and there is no need to calibrate it. At 50% or below 50%, it happened to me quite often , that I had to calibrate it, especially if I used original figures with mine, which I covered with aluminum foil very rarely. The square measures closer to 39mm, but far from 41mm. Otherwise, as you may know, the tournament board must have a field between 50 mm and 55 mm. For me personally, because I also play a lot in live tournaments, the 45 mm size is incomparably more suitable for home playing, and believe me, it is a completely different and much better feeling to play on 45 mm squares than on 40 mm. and if the Pegasus was the same size as the DGT Centaur, I would never buy another board. Otherwise, thank you for your reply and I wish you a lot of fun with Pegasus.
Rsava... I forgot to add that the price of the DGT Pegasus here in Slovenia at the Muba Chess store was €300. I bought the Tabutronic directly from the manufacturer Certabo in Italy and it was €361 with express mail. Tabutronic also has a Black model with chip stickers that detect each figure individually and it is €70 more expensive. Otherwise, I would be happy if you could tell me where you are from and where you bought the DGT Pegasus for almost half the price of the Tabutronic Sentio. Greetings.
Hello. Any chance that the SquareOff Pro will be added as a supported board?
I contacted them, but was turned down. So, no.
Hello,
I just run into the Chessconnect plugin. Since the last update of the chess.com app on Android, almost every game stops right after the start. If this plugin is indeed working with my Millennium King Performance, then you have made another player very happy. I can't wait to get home and try the plugin. If this is working for me, I will surely buy you some cups of tea (or coffee, or energydrink, or.....)
Having this as an iOS app would definitely be huge - I’d be happy to pay for an app like this.
