In the end it worked when I disconnected the usb and restartet the board. During pairing I inserted the USB again and finally it worked. Strange. So it is possible with the chess connect exertion but board needs to be restarted without the cable first. Without the extension it, can't do much via usb on a Mac indeed. Too bad. Thank you for the wonderful extension Jörn. You saved the day. Bought you some cups of thee .

Are you sure you are not connected via Bluetooth? Is the blue light on the board solid blue , blinking, or off?

I am fairly certain that Chessnut Air and Pro work with Bluetooth and USB both on Windows and Mac. If you use Chessconnect, that is. 😇

I just uploaded version 3.2.14 which fixes a bug with games on lichess that did not start with the standard position. This now works, too.

joernupbde,
Does the DGT Pegaus support a standard DGT Bluetooth board? If not, are there any plans for this option?

No, the Pegasus works completely differently. But yes, I am trying hard to get the DGT Bluetooth e-Boards connected. But since I do not have access to such a board, this is difficult. There is one user how owns such a board and does some testing for me. But so for, it does not work. But I am confident, that I will crack this, too.

Search for "Picochess" on github... The source code may have the answers you need.
Thanks! That might actually be helpful. 👍

3.2.14 is now officially available.
One other thing: @lpavchess made a french translation for Chessconnect. This will be part of version 3.3 together with a german translation. If there is demand for more languages and probably users that might be willing to contribute a translation, I could add those, too. 🇬🇧🇫🇷🇩🇪

Hello everyone,
Thanks Jörn.
For sharing, it's a tab in the options.
Each user puts their country code.
It indicates the terms of the pieces.
The translation is then active when you have selected “annouce move”.
I took some tests in German and Spanish, although I don't speak their languages,
The pronunciations seem correct to me!
have a good day

I, unfortunately, can only provide English, and not very good English at that ...
But I certainly do appreciate all of the work that goes in to providing for other languages.
This community is amazing.
I'm having problems getting chessconnect to work with Lichess. It seems to work fine with chess.com.
I'm running CC in windows 11 using a chrome browser. I have set up the Lichess API. I can connect my board (Air) and I have tried to play a game against a bot but as soon as I connect all the squares on the first 2 and last 2 ranks light up and I cannot register a move on the board.
Can anyone help?

That sounds like Chessconnect has the black and white pieces mixed up. Can you send me the gameId of a game where this happened? And yes, as @rsava wrote: debug messages is a good idea.
The USB port is for charging and for accessing the stored PGN files from OTB games that you store on the internal chessboard memory, but I think you can only use a Windows PC to retrieve the games from the board using USB.
The Air user manual indicates Mac can only use Bluetooth to connect to the board.
If you want to retrieve the OTB files stored on the board using Android and Bluetooth, you can use the PGN Master app from Google Play Store.
