Been three months since I posted this here and four months since I have been contacting Chessimo, and the site is till not fixed. Don't waste your money and subscribe to this site. It is a disaster.

I also was interested in trying this service out, but there is just no way to create an account. I tried registering with several email addresses and I never get an email. Tried signing up with facebook account and that actually worked, but you never get emailed your password so you can only log in the one time. Forget my password also never emails you. Pretty hilarious that someone is even paying for the hosting of this site but can't be bothered to fix the email issues. I've checked multiple times over the past few weeks and after seeing the issue was still there, decided to google about it and found this post.
A shame, looks (or looked) pretty good. But if we're going to pay for it and just not get it or it won't work, that would be enraging.

I've got the chessimo app on my i-phone, it works OK, cost about £6 I think. You can try a demo version of it free of charge I believe.
The app is good. I wish it had a faster engine to better demonstrate the refutation of alternative moves to the initial move, which isn't always obvious to this patzer.

Agreed Danny, sometimes I need to set up the position in my shredder app to work out why some move doesn't work.

I purchased the online subscription and every few months I get an http 500 error which persists for a number of weeks. Like others, I have tried communicating with the company to no avail. I really like the concept and I am frustrated at the waste of money and the disregard from Chessimo. Terrible. Maybe if we all review them on Facebook?

Sure, I'll review them, as soon as I get a Facebook account - which will be on the 12th of Never... :)))
Let's be honest, all this talk on Chessimo's FB page about the site being down for maintenance is a load of horse pucky. I doubt we will see Chessimo on-line again. And if that happens, there go thousands of player's games archives-gone into oblivion.

I'm really sorry to read about any negative experiences with Chessimo. I'm happy to let you know that many things have been changed and more changes are upcoming:
These are the recent changes with the Chessimo app:
1 We have a new development team on board who are doing an amazing job solving any existing problems step by step.
2 There is a new release out with the following improvements:
*Piece movement: move the chess pieces by simply tapping on them and tapping the end square. Fans of the drag option can still drag the pieces as well.
*New chess board and chess set designs: choose from 8 different designs.
*Coordinates now withing the chess board, resulting in a bigger board, better overview
*Issues with stalling puzzles have been solved for the biggest part.
3. The website chessimo.com is up and running again and can be used for your daily Chess Training of puzzles. Remember the puzzles are specifically designed to maximize retention of patterns.
4. Enjoy daily chess puzzles on our FB page and IG account.
5. Enjoy reading our blog posts.
We are working on any remaining issues and look forward to present you new releases soon.

So why are you still subscribing to them? Sounds like you are a still a member do that site? Why?

I purchased the Chessimo program some years ago, and when I bought a new computer about 1 1/2 years ago I found out that I couldn't transfer the program I bought to the new one. Instead I signed up for the online version, which worked fairly well until about 3 weeks ago. The website was redesigned, and now it is terrible compared to what it was prior to the redesign. It is difficult to sign on, sometimes impossible. You can't return to where you were in the training, you have to remember where you were and go back their manually, and since there are thousands of exercises, you might wind up repeating hundreds and hundreds of them if you can't recall where you were. You can't bring up your user profile, and the entire web site is slow.
My advice, if you are thinking about purchasing a membership in Chessimo, is to wait awhile to see if the web site is fixed. I emailed Chessimo, about 3 weeks ago with the problems, and they replied that it would be fixed, but it doesn't look like they are in any rush to fix it and make it usable again.
