All right, I got mine, I tried it out, I played a game on chess.com, it worked great. It’s the real deal. Holy crap.

Just one question — how do I turn off the annoying noise that it makes when someone is in check?

The website has been up for months but the shop hasn't been introduced yet.

Sorry you are right. £167 is a good price.

bank says nothing wrong with my card.  I give up.  i'm returning the overpirced DGT board and will just give up on the idea altogether.  RIP.

You made the right decision the Chessnut Air is better than the DGT Pegasus.  I did extensive research for months and almost bought the Pegasus and i'm glad I waited for reviews on the Chessnut Air before buying.

The most up-to-date news about the Chessnut Air and the forthcoming tournament size board and any software updates can be found on their Facebook Early Backers Page.

Tournament size board is going to be $499. That is a steep price to pay for just the board. Please correct me if I am missing something. On upside you can adapt any other pieces with their sensors they are going to sell for DIYers.

Just got mine.  less then a week.  I was expecting at least two week delivery.   nice,  much better then the original estimated month.

If you have a chance please share your opinion on the set.

Mine arrived and from the first look it's a very nice chess board.

I've played a quick game against the engine on level 1 and the feeling is great. Later I will try to play some games online.

To the owners of Chestnut Air, would you say the size of the board is convenient for travel?

I would.   its the smallest size and standard "travel" size the other companies like certabo make.   1.38" squares.

Good to know, I am really tempted to order one, even though the tournament size board  near announcement. Also, they are committed to give $100 off to the owners of Air.

from the 6 min mark he starts discussing the measurements and he also compares the size to other eboards later in the video so you can see how big they are.

Hey Guys, so far it's a nice board. I only mentioned some issues playing on chess.com

Sometimes the piece recognition don't work well and one time the app crashed and I lost because it couldn't reconnect...

Did you mention some of this issues too?

still can't beat the price though.  I just hope it works out because it sounds too good to be true there has to be a catch right?  I'm worried.   I paid $320 for the dgt pegasus.  I know this board is smaller and doesn't have good lights,  but still,  piece recognition and onboard memory and ai?   I mean this makes it possible for alot of people to get into the e-board action who otherwise would not be able to,  because this seems to be an expensive sport like tennis or golf lol.

It doesn't have onboard AI, just move recording.

There’s not a perfect e board out there.  I’ve played 100+ games on it and I’ve only had issues a couple times but not nearly enough to bother me.  Also you have to remember that chess.com makes it difficult for board makers as the api is not fully open like lichess from what I hear so it’s bound to be more error prone.
