Square-off Pro offers standard size chessboard and chess pieces and rolls up for easy storage or taking it outdoors, the chessmen are very solid with reasonable weight although not weighted. The downside is SO Pro app has not been updated and modernised for ages, the time lag/delay between the moves is longer than Chessnut (basically chessnut is faster) and currently it seems chess.com no longer supports SO Pro and only lichess is available as a platform for playing.
Chessnut Evo vs. Square Off Pro...

Hey Everyone...
I am about to buy an electronic board and like most folks, I'm on a budget. Right now I am leaning heavily towards the Chestnut Evo. I'm looking to buy the most advanced board I can afford and $650 is my drop dead limit... it looks like the most bang for the buck.
However... it's big and bulky!
I am an anti-social, full-time RV'er that lives in very remote areas. I spend much of my time just wandering around enjoying nature. I currently have a roll-up board that I use for chess puzzles, unless I run across someone on the trail.
I really like small & portable... which the Chessnut Evo is not. So I am very interested in the Square Off Pro for its portability. I am using Chess.com (Diamond) for the simple interface and an iPhone for connection. Recently I've see reviews improving for the SO Pro. I have a few questions...
1. Is the IT compatibility between SO Pro and Chess.com improving?
2. The pieces seem hollow, has anyone added material to increase the weight?
3. How is performance with an iPhone interface?
Thanks,
Joe
