Their about page is pretty similar to another chess site...
Caissia seems to be legit, could find articles, reviews and affiliations.
Chessshop.eu's VAT nummer corresponds with the company they claim to be and with the phone nummer written attached.
I tried calling the nummer to see if the store was genuine and someone picked up and he said it was chessshop.eu. Said i called to see if the store was genuin and he responded with ok. So i asked some questions about the store that he could manage to answer.
It feels really iffy, with no reviews or really any presence on the internet that i could find and with an about page so similar to another store.

I ordered on chessshop.eu but they are also like others, House of Staunton... out of stock.
the diff is that they don’t tell you that until you pay for the product. Been waiting for 2 weeks, don’t know if they will arrive.
Stock status not transparent until after making payment? That’s grounds for order cancellation.

Can you inform us when your order arrives, please? I am thinking of buying the American Staunton pieces and a chessboard from this site, but it doesn't seem trustworthy.

Got it fast with no problems and their prices are on par with chessshop.eu
You are right, but they don't have the American Staunton pieces. Nevertheless, thank you for the advice.

It seems legit to me. but we will see how AshBrittle comes out. As far as chessgamesshop.com goes. That one I know for sure is legit. Ordered several time from them and they deliver good products.

All the chess retailers were slower than molasses all year up till about November when the mania of Queens Gambit hit. In fact, sales were even abundant. Now many of the chess sets are OOS (out of stock). Befoe that happened they would hardly ever run out of a set unless it was super popular. Now the manufacturers are backlogged and had to hire new help. The fact is chess has never been so popular in the last 50 years.
What you want to be wary of are people just getting into the chess business only because it is popular right now and they won't be here 2 years from now. And they are springing up all over, I recently saw one on youtube advertising they sell chess equipment, as they are playing a game Never heard of them at all and I know about everyone in the business in my country.

Hi I saw this topic and I went to the site to look at it. There are some nice and cheap boards that I'm interested in, so I wanted to ask if this site is good and the problem described by AshBrittle is still there. Because there are very nice prices, but also for that, I'm not so sure about the fact that is sure to buy from them.

I wrote to them about 6 weeks ago. Someone replied saying the products would be available in the first half of February.
Has anyone ordered from chessshop.eu ?
They have good prices, but i can't find any reviews.
