ChessUp initial thoughts

I am disappointed that your questions have not been answered, can you tell me the dimensions of the board and the size of the squares? I have hand tremors and I am concerned this will not work for me.
Each square is 1 1/2" to a side. The board, as mentioned above, has a total size of about 15 3/4" x 14" and the area for only the playable squares is 12" x 12". The pieces are not weighted if that is a concern of yours regarding the hand tremors. On the plus side, this board is the best for not freezing if pieces are knocked over and then righted.
Finally !!!

thanks guys, I bought a chessnut air a couple of hours before your post, thanks, I will let you know how it works out.

@1uplifts - Not sure how much you want to pay, but the base board is on sale right now for $299US and if you use a discount code it take another $29.90US off, bring the board total to $269.10US.

Is there a tutorial for getting chess.com and chessup to interact ?
I'm not having a lot of luck getting the board and the ios app to react to each other.
ALso is it possible to play the chess.com computer bots on chessup ? or can you onlly play other real people ?
Can't tell you about iOS but with the latest Android update I successfully played against bots on Chess dotcom. Are you having trouble with iOS app ?
yes - the board is bluetooth connected but there is no interaction between the moves on the app and the board. Make a move on the board, the app does not pick it up. opponent makes a move and the board does not pick it up.
Are there any other settings or connections needed ?

Connected to Bluetooth in the phone/tablet settings?
I don't remember connecting it using BT in settings (although it does say connected after I connect the app), as with all e-boards I just connected in the app itself (which has to have permissions to use BT). There is a little section on the top side of the app, in between the word "Play" and your user icon (little person). It says "chessup" then underneath that word it says "Not Connected or "Connected".
Post a screenshot of what that says.
I just easily played a game against a bot and it worked well.

Sorry for being so basic but I literally turned on the board, started the app, and it connected by itself. I think I may have had 1 game that missed a move.

Are you using the chessup app? You need to go through that first and there is an option to play games on chess.com in there. If you try going straight to the chess.com app, it won't connect.
Happy New Year everyone,
The latest version (v2.8.2, as of writing) of Khadim's "White Pawn" app (on Android) now supports the ChessUp board: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=im.khad.white_pawn&hl=en
And by the way ... with the latest ChessUp app version I successfully played against bots on Chess dotcom. I had great fun !

Having recently received my first ChessUp board, I was pretty excited. I still am!
I have an iphone 7, latest OS.
Most recent firmware is installed for ChessUp.
However, I've noticed a few anomalies. The left and right side of the screen is cut off. I can only see a small part of a circle in the lower left, to give an idea of how much is visible.
I am unable to play anyone online so far (via Chess or ChessUp), nor have I successfully played against a bot on Chess com. I have not tried Lichess yet. The only thing that works, most of the time, is the internal board ai. I've had to calibrate the board several times due to the board/app freezing up. Maybe there's other solutions.
The AI plays very conservatively in my experience. Not so much like a human though. I think its pretty similar to the bots on Chess com. I need to try higher levels of bot.
I don't know if I'm missing the 'x' to close the app or what, but I haven't been able to find a way to close out of the Chess com interface and return to the regular app screen.
I'm looking forward to these things getting fixed and playing against others.

I'm experiencing the sames things with ios. Are the left and right sides of the screen cutoff for you too?
Wow, that's great @cosmoKJ, I like the ChessUp very much
I got some questions:
1) Are Lichess tournaments (such as "LoneWolf") supported ?
2) Is it possible to set up any position on the board in order to analyze it or play it against the ChessUp AI ?
3) Are external UCI/WinBoard/XBoard chess engines supported ?
Thanks and keep up the good work on the ChessUp
