Chronos Chess Clocks all out of stock?

Hello,

I was looking to purchase a Chronos touch clock but there seems to be a supply shortage. Does anyone know if this a temporary problem or has the clock stopped being manufactured? Also is there a difference between the GX model from the Chronos II besides size? Which model is recommended? Should I even be worrying about this clock if it's no longer produced? Thanks in advance.

I think it would be cool to have a chess clock with a slot on top that plays 8 track tapes. Then the time button on top could start/stop the clocks but also cycle through tracks.

Thanks for nothing.. My computer programming colleagues had a laugh about the 8-track thing though! I fancied a Chronos.. although not that important chess is a passion but not one that pays anything.. If this is how this community welcomes newcomers.. bye.. I don't need it.. have plenty of life outside of a boardgame!

Well, it was nice meeting you.

Nxlmedia just ignore johnmusacha ( Class can you say chronic complainer ? ). Sorry can't help you on the Chronos clock problem but I'm sure somebody will stop by and post some info on them.

What am I complaining about?  (Class, can you say conspiracy theory nutjob?)

Look around for other forums on Chronos, I was at one awhile ago and it sounds like they went out of business people were saying they sent their clocks back for repairs and either got them back unrepaired or else didn't get them back at all. Too bad, the Chronos is worth the money and I wish I had bought one instead of the pain-in-the-ass Saitek that I bought because it was a lot cheaper.

They still seem to be available at amazon...

GOOD LUCK!

I have seen the ones at Amazon for $189.. I think I am just going to get a DGT. I apologize for my previous reply.. I wasn't in a good mood after wasting an hour looking for the Chronos. Thanks for the information NimzoRoy.
