Good topic with nice pictures. I don't have anything to add but it would be a shame to completely ignore, so I'll leave a comment

Thanks @Chebyshevv. I should've posted this in a Noj thread but couldn't find a suitable one since there's so many.
This is a great thread and posting.
I also own a Noj Minceta and use it on a green roll up board as you have.
I really like how the framed art work was the exact size of the board so it fit perfectly. It looks as if you designed it to look that good.
The Minceta is a great set for travel and the kind of play you are doing. My Minceta is also portable and I use it as an every day carry set.
I also like the way your set looks. It is very nice.
@Eyechess, thank you for your comment. Coming from you, it means a lot to me because it was your detailed review of Minceta that got me all excited about this model.
The Dubrovnik is becoming my favorite style in wood pieces. If the day comes when I can afford a really nice set, it will be Dubrovnik. I've seen a few cheap set but I feel you get what you pay for. Cheap in chess pieces is probably poor quality.
@MGT88, it's an unweighted Dubrovnik Minceta made of maple & walnut with king's height of approximately 3.6 inches. The mousepad board has a square size of 2.25 inches.
@verylate, I was also surprised how nice the improvised board came out. And agree with your observation of the Noj family.
Here's another photo of the same chess pieces. It was sent by Gregor, of Noj, when he had just finished carving my Minceta in rough phase before starting the top finish process.

Chocolate & Vanilla lolly pops? LOL!
@forked_again Not sure how he did it but Eyechess has an awesome idea of using a Plano fishing stowaway box. Here is a photo he posted on another thread.
I liked the idea so much that I got one as well and used it for my Russian Bride custom set.
How did you package those fancy pieces for traveling to ensure they wouldn't get banged up?
The pieces were packed in a transport box provided by Noj. It has a cardboard separator inside to keep the pieces from banging with each other. Nowadays I store the pieces in Plano box with foam because it is more compact, like the photos posted by @KnightsForkCafe and @Eyechess
Lovely pieces and great improvisation! Perhaps one day I might order my own set from Noj... they look like true pieces of art!
Thanks for the additional info!! Very nice photos... as tempting as buying an(other) Indian made set might be, I see that the sensible thing to do will be to wait and save the money and put them towards a set from Noj. All good things come to those who wait, eyes on the prize and all that.
For now, my eyes are on the Minceta set, in Maple and Brown stain. One day... one day!!! 😜
The BCE sets are also very nice...
For me personally I can't see forking over 500+ Euros for a chess set. The game can be played with a $5 or $6 plastic set. I get it though. It is nice to play with a nice wooden set. I personally prefer playing with a wooden set. However even a wooden set has a limit for me. I even find it hard for me to go beyond $100 for a wooden set. I did spend $240 on a wooden set but that was a custom set I commissioned to have made. Other than that. It truly is a waste of my hard earned money to spend on NOJ's prices. That's the only thing I don't care for out of NOJ. They are more of an upper class chess set dealer/maker and not for the common blue collar man who wants an affordable quality wooden chess set. Yes you can save the money and get there but 500+ Euros is a month's rent or mortgage payment for some.
