I think you need a +5v DC power supply, rated at 1.5 Amps or more, with a 3 pin DIN connector.

There is a schematic diagram for the Conchess computers here : http://www.chesscomputeruk.com/Conchess_Schematics.pdf
The power supply is shown bottom right on the second page, it has a 7805 voltage regulator which gives +5v at 1.5 Amp.
The pin-out for the DIN plug is shown at the bottom left of the last page. +5v on PIN 1, 0v on pin 3.

Just some clarification about the Conchess power supply.

I have an Ambassador board and the 7805 regulator is ON THE BOARD. The current drawn with one cartridge (standard program) is less than 0.4A so in fact what you will need is an ±8V DC power supply with 0.5A to 1A.
