Create Own Tactics from your games

Is there any software that can run over all my games and show tactics?  I guess essentially what the tactics servers do but on a tiny scale.

Actually working on a tool (running on Windows) that does just that during my spare time.

Step 1) Enter in a pgn of games

Step 2) Let it process them and look for tactical shots that were missed. This can take a while ... so it makes sense for this process to overnight.

Step 3) Allow you to sequentially/randomly play them out to see if you could have done better.

Ping me from time to time and motivate me to finish work on it ... I plan to distribute it for free.

I use this feature in Fritz with some regularity.

I think the OP was looking for a batch-processing mode. I know Fritz can analyze a bunch of games and look for tactical blunders, but I don't think it nicely packages all of the "extracted tactics" into another pgn nor does it allow you to quiz yourself on those without some manual "cut/copy/paste/move-around work" on your part. Haven't fiddled with too many fritz bells-and-whistles yet ... so I might be wrong.

The manual cut/copy/paste can be accomplished in under a minute (that's if you want a separate database of only games with training exercises of a few hundred or even thousands). But, in ChessBase or Fritz, you can open any database only to games with training exercises.

Thus, in a sense, you are wrong. With a few mouse clicks on any given morning (I've done this dozens of times), I can be clicking through tactical exercises from my own games without having done any more than have Fritz create these exercises during full analysis.

Good to know. Let me try that one out...thanks Ziryab!

Merci

Corus Tactics was created using Fritz: Fritz found the tactics and created training exercises, Fritz was used to sort the games to only those containing exercises, and Fritz was used to create the diagrams. If you want a different color diagram, Fritz has near infinite possibilities.
