DGT Play is Enabled in chess.com Beta

Anyone else having the same issues as me?

 

DGT: Connected. Please make the moves to sync the board it says on chess.com, I followed the instructions from the video exactly, but no moves no sound. I have restarted the browser and computer. I have joined the beta, I have checked for DGT board under settings on chess.com and I have checked that Live Chess from DGT has a connection with my board. Everything should be working but nothing, no sound from the extension and no moves on chess.com from my DGT USB board. Someone knows why? Is google chrome still compatible or do we have to use Microsoft Edge? Anyone help?

Are you using the Beta version of Chess.com?

I have always had some issues with DGT software, it's not my computer that's any wrong with. Come on, if one should start uninstalling software to install it again then clearly its the software developers that made some wrong coding. Always some issues with DGT.

I suggested you try the uninstall/re-install in case you have a driver issue or conflict. You don't have to take suggestions if you think they are ridiculous, or
not the issue. Dgt software and board works on my desktop and laptop with no issues.
I see it works on other people's computer as well with no issues.
If you believe software/drivers to be at fault, don't use them.

No, I won't offer up any more ideas or suggestions as to what can be going on.
I do tech support work for a living. When people, who want help,are dismissive
with troubleshooting steps, or suggestions, I walk away since it's frustrating to
work with them, especially trying to help them over the internet, which is hard enough in the first place,since one has to ask many questiosn and try things because we're not there physically.

My opinion was not pointed against you personally, just my personal opinion of DGT software in general. So no critique against you at all. I thanked you for your help, and I do appreciate you try to help me out.

I can't understand it could be a driver issue when everything in DGT Live is working, showing the moves, and on chess.com it says my DGT board is connected. Also when I use it in Fritz or Chessbase the board works 100% so no issues there either. With DGT Pi it also works 100% that's why I am lost for solutions when I want to use it with Chess.com.

Sorry if it seemed like I was not appreciative for your advice, it was not directed towards you.

I am grateful for any other tips advice yu may give:-)

The only thing this needs to be perfect is for the DGT Pi clock to sync with clock online... or is that already possible? I can't figure out how to do it.

I bought the DGT Smart Board and plastic pieces last year and got a black bishop with the sensor of a white bishop. That is the software displayed and looked at it as a white bishop. Support was excellent and replaced it without any cost. I still could move the pieces around, that was working.

For those who cannot see the Beta button, apparently you need some activity points, in order to get points you have to comment on something, from my understanding.

Thank you very much for your vid. I did everything to the letter and it doesnt work consistently for me. I wonder if you have another insight? i have the wooden dgt rosewood board with the same pieces as yours. In DGT livechess I can see the pieces are all ok and connected to the system. In chess.com the moves i make on the board appear intermittent on the screen and i have to sometimes move using the mouse. There is no voice commands. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance for reading.

My DGT board works on OS X and it works on chess.com beta (but it's not perfect)

I read in another post that DGT Eboard could be used directly in chess.com, that is to say, it's not necessary to use Chess.com/beta.

OK, but how can I do for that ?

I got this board today and connected it to my computer and chess.com   At first I was getting what some others in this thread experienced which was the dgt live app was showing the chess pieces in their correct places, I enabled dgt smartboard at chess.com but when I entered a game the message at top of screen was : "DGT board connected, please move the pieces to synchronise". But when I moved the pieces they didnt move in the chess.com game and it did not let me make a move. I tried a bunch of things finally I closed chrome and restarted it and it was working, the message was "dgt board connected, it's your move"

So bascially if something is wrong close the browser completly and restart it. Even try it a couple of times. Refreshing didn't work, I had to shut the browser and restart.

Plus I just want to say to the "I'm a tech support guy" who advised to uninstall everything then got angry when the person questioned his idea, that's such a typical tech suppoprt answer when they don't have a clue and couldnt be bothered troubleshooting. Lazy. Just scroll on if that's all you have to say next time.

1. Are you using Chrome or Edge? Have you tried clearing the cache completely? Have you tried accessing chess.com from a private/incognito window? Have you tried the other supported browser?

2. What version of the DGT drivers are you using? Latest is here: http://www.digitalgametechnology.com/index.php/support1/dgt-software/dgt-e-board-chess-8x8

3. Use DGT's piece test utility to make sure that your pieces are all recognizable:

I got mine to work but the voice commentary is another issue, does anyone have a fix for that?

New to using DGT with Chess.com ... I have an issue with delayed move registering ... takes sometimes a couple seconds to 10+ secs or may not and find myself manually moving with mouse ... kinda disappointed. Any suggestions?
