Do you know this book?

Hi,

When I was in elementary school back in the 80s, I found a wonderful chess book for kids in our library.  I'd like to find it again but can't remember the title or find it in any of my searches.

It was a beginners chess book for kids.  It had amazing colour illustrations.  The pictures were fantasy pictures that portrayed rooks as massive war elephants and Queens shooting energy rays from their hands.

Do you know the title of this book and is it still available for purchase?

That sounds very much like a book I recall titled Every Great Chess Player was once a Beginner.

Thanks Ealdor, but that's not it.  The artwork in the book I was thinking about was darker.

I think I actually have a copy of that book somewhere - I'll see if I can find it later tonight.

Yep, that's the one. The actual chess content of the book is very basic, but I keep it because I absolutely love the illustrations.
