I like to take the time and recommend a particularly favourite book of mine, thats made specifically for beginners and intermadiate players maybe even higher rated players may find it enjoyable. The Amateurs Mind,Turning Chess Misconceptions into Chess Mastery by International Master Jeremy Silman.This man has taken the time to crawl into our brains through his students.By making them to think outloud.So he can hear how they are able to breakdown the position and looking at the imbalances in the respective postions.Its amazing what this man has done.I understand it may not suit everyone but its worth a look.from my experience after reading it.I started winning a lot more games than I would have thought of.SO JUST TRY IT!!!
