I have 15 and enjoy it. I just purchased Aquarium, and have to say that i think it is preferable to fritz.
Fritz 15 - worth it?
Fritz 15 is a good program. I think it's worth it. Unless you need 6 million games because you are a master who needs to know openings to 20 moves.
There's a thread about it here:

I've got Fritz 12 and see no reason to upgrade. But if I didn't have Fritz I would probably go for version 14, they're fairly cheap now that 15 is out
Try some of the free software applications first. If they meet your needs, well then you have your answer and you will not have to purchase Fritz 15.
There are links below to some of the better Chess software:

Hello all,
Recently, I was thinking of buying some chess software. Currently, I am using a cracked version of Fritz 12, but it is not working that well and I would like to go legal. I am thinking about buying Fritz 15, since I am very familiar with this software (previously I have used 5,8 and now 12).
Furthermore, since I am currently coaching some children, I need something that enables me to annotate games and create databases - Fritz is quite convenient for this purpose.
However, it is quite expensive, which makes me to post a question here, especially to those who bought it: Do you think that it is worth the money? Or are there any cheaper (or perhaps free) alternatives that come close to Fritz in terms of the user comfort?
Thanks.
P.S.: I am not interested in Fritz as a chess engine as I am using Stockfish. However, I am interested in being able to install and use different engines with the program.
