So you downloaded all 53 files? Did the md5 checksums for those 53 files match the hashes in the md5sum file?
Gaviota TableBases

I guess you understand that the 5.7z file is split into 53 parts, and that you first have to download all 53 files? Then use something like the 7-zip utility to right-click on the 5.7z.001 file, then extract the files.
Yes, I downloaded all 53 files. But I didn't check md5. How do I do that? The error was in the files:kqpkr.gtb.cp4, kqppk.gtb.cp4, kqqbk.gtb.cp4, kqqkb.gtb.cp4. I remember trying to download gaviota TBs from the same website couple of months ago and I had exactly the same problem with exactly the same 4 files. I think I found other website at that time that had links to individual files and downloaded those 4 files separately. But unfortunately I don't have a bookmark to that website anymore...

To check a file's md5 checksum: In Windows, right-click on the file, click on "Properties", then click on the "checksums" tab.
If there's another site to download Gaviota tablebases, I'm not aware of it. You could always generate the files yourself, but that takes time and effort.
I'll try to download the files from your link and see if they extract OK for me.
Yes, try downloading those 4 files on your computer and let me know. I'll check md5. What if it doesn't match? Does that mean I have to download all 53 files again? Like I said I'm pretty sure I had problems with the same files before.
I thought about generating those files myself. It's supposed to take 1-2 days on my computer. Besides, you need to make sure you know what you're doing which means learning a few new things.
I also thought about using torrent download website (I found one). But, again, I would have to download/install torrent software and make sure I know what I'm doing. Beside, I really dislike torrent. It's not very safe/secure as I understand

Well, I can't directly download just those four problem files. I'll have to download all 53 files, then extract all of the files.
If one of the 53 files doesn't match the md5 checksum, you don't have to download all of the files again. Just re-download the one that didn't match.
I'm not a torrent guy, either.

You can download each of the single files from http://pwnedthegameofchess.com/cp4/ . Here are direct links for the four files you need:
http://pwnedthegameofchess.com/cp4/kqpkr.gtb.cp4
http://pwnedthegameofchess.com/cp4/kqppk.gtb.cp4
http://pwnedthegameofchess.com/cp4/kqqbk.gtb.cp4
http://pwnedthegameofchess.com/cp4/kqqkb.gtb.cp4
(Btw I stumbled upon that repository by simply googling the first of the filenames. This often is quite effective when looking for a file/files with very distinct names. I don't recommend this in the case of files containing executable code (such as *.exe, *.dll, etc.) though, you probably don't want to download loose executables from random sites on the internet.)

By the way, if you use the Firefox browser, the DownThemAll! extension is just great for downloading files.

Just downloaded those files, everything works fine, thanks a lot! And I will also make sure I save the link to the website! Forget about 53 files, EscherehcsE!
By the way, there's no "checksum" tab in the files properties (I have Windows 7 Pro)...

If all else fails, I'll upload the 5 man set in a single zipped file to my Google Drive and provide a temporary link.
Let me know. It takes a while to upload a 6.51 gigabyte file!

You can get the free program HashTab from http://implbits.com/products/hashtab/ , it adds such a tab to the Windows file properties dialog. You can calculate various types of digests, but I thinks MD5 specifically should be active by default (if not you can add it easily).

Forget about it! I got all the files! But thanks anyway!

By the way, Mr. Crappov, I've never uploaded anything to a web server. How do you do that? Do you reserve certain amount of disk space on a web server and then upload to that server whatever you'd like until you run out of space? Do you have to pay for storage on a server? I guess it depends on website and amount of space you're trying to reserve...

I've downloaded this add-on. How do I filter out the files/links that I want to download?
The window on the screen shows all links on the page (is this true, or is this my educated guess?). Then there's filter where I entered *.pgn to download only pgn databases. I also checked "Disable other filters" box. Then I clicked "Start" button and it started downloading. But I got weird stuff downloaded and not the pgn files...
???

I think you're doing it right - I'm not sure what the weird stuff is. Sometimes, if you're not downloading too many items, you can just scroll down the list and manually check the items you want to download.
Of course, if you're only downloading one item, you can just right-click on the link and click on "Save link with DownThemAll".

I'll talk about Google Drive. There are other choices, though.
If you have a free GMail account, you also have 15 GB of free cloud storage space on Google Drive ---->> https://www.google.com/drive/
You can buy additional space, if needed. I pay $1.99 per month and get 105 GB. It comes in handy. I encrypt any sensitive data that I store there.
If you sign up for a Google account, I think you'll find the Google Drive interface intuitive and the procedures for uploading and downloading files more or less self-explanatory. It's also easy to share your files with others. Good luck!
Anybody knows website that has Gaviota endgame tablebases (up to 5 men)? I've tried the following link
https://chess.cygnitec.com/tablebases/
but there was an error when I was unzipping files after downloading. I couldn't extract 4 files from the 5.7z file.
