I just wanted to comment on Russel’s list. A+ in my book. I am just a beginner and I started with Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess which I found on my own. The other 4 were found because of Russel’s list.
2. Discovering Chess Openings
3. Play Winning Chess
4. Weapons of Chess (partially read)
5. Endgame Course (in progress now)
I highly recommend Russel’s list.
