Good series

I've been looking for a good series of chess books meant for intermediate (1200-1500) players. I've finished the small selection at my library, and I would like to order some online. I was hoping they would be fairly cheap, under $10 per book. Single books would be fine, but I would really like a series that builds on itself. I was thinking the Winning Chess series by Seirawan. Are those too basic? I would love to hear anything else about them. edit- $15 would be fine

It's $12.21 but http://www.amazon.com/How-Reassess-Your-Chess-Chess-Mastery/dp/1890085006/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1235531544&sr=8-1 is a lot of bang for your buck.

The Winning Chess Series by GM Yasser Seirawan is a highly-recommended series. They taught me a lot about chess, and I believe that they will do the same for anyone who reads them.
