So, there´s demand (?) for a rematch between me and Powderdigit but in a different format. This formt is called Hand and Brain and is a team competition. Each team consists of two players of which one is the hand and the other the brain. Hmmm... I wonder which part I´m missing...

We´ll see what happen. If and when it does, this is the place.

Ok … I’m in …. But still coming to grips with what it is … can we please make it a 3 Day game to give time in our busy lives?

also am I correct this is what happens -

Let’s say PV and I are white. To start I say Pawn and PV moves any pawn he chooses into position.

Then Herman says pawn and Unge moves a pawn

Then say PV says : knights and I move a knight to a position of my choosing … and onward we go - hand and brain swapping. Is that correct?

3 Day minimum is good for me, as sometimes I can get very busy within 24 hours.

There's no swapping, one player is always "the brain" and the other in the team always "the hand" - but if it proves interesting we can swap roles in another game.

May I suggest Herman and Powder to be hands - as it is their re-match, they should move the pieces. As for the pieces Powder had white pieces so now it's Herman's turn.

Also the game should be unrated so we don't cheat on their ratings.

Plastische Fantastische is a good idea, and "the brain" player can post pictures or call a piece to be played with.

The name is a teaser as the 'hand' players can use their brain, while the 'brain' players can't use their hands. I guess the rule is that the only communication is saying & playing, naming the type of piece and moving. During a game, there is no exchange of plans or previous intentions within a team. It's a silent movie with the piece-naming as subtitles.

Just to clarify (since 'i´m not familiar with this H&B game) , can the brain say just "pawn" or does he have to specify which pawn?

The brain must only say "the pawn"(or post a picture of a plastic pawn) as the hand needs to choose which pawn and how many squares - that's what makes it interesting. I never played it though.

Also, I think if the brain wants the hand to castle, he should just say King - and it's up to the hand to decide to castle or move King one square.

SInce we love pictures of the pieces, perhaps we should not take them with pieces on board - in order not to suggest black or white square - but on a neutral background?
