2 matches is not statistically relevant unless you had 10,000 games or more in each match. When developers test revisions of chess engines, tens of thousands of games are played to verify improvement. Houdini 4 improved about 50 elo over Houdini 3 - which means Houdini 3 can still win a significant percentage of games.
