House of Stauntin Folding Walnut & Maple Chess Board
There was no label so I guess it was made in the USA? It has two brass hinges ... one on each side plus 4 felt pads on all four corners.

The description on the web page says they are made in Europe. I believe most of those type boards at HOS are made in Spain. I have an old walnut/maple board (not HOS) that was made in Spain and the craftsmanship is very good. I have a birdseye/greenwood board from HOS that was made in Spain. The craftsmanship on that is also very good.
The more I use that birdseye/greenwood board the more I like it. It feels solid and sturdy and the colors are very easy on the eyes. The pictures on the HOS web site show it much brighter than it actually is.
I ordered mine from the USCF. I knew if there was a problem the USCF would take care of it. After unpacking & it was packed very well with bubble wrap & styrofoam padding on the corners it looked fantastic. I mean it was perfect in every way. The squares lined up perfectly & all matched in color from the dark to the light squares. I was really impressed! Anyone know what country they are made in? I called & asked & they said its a " Trade " secret. Even if its made in China its still one nice board IMO.
