From my experience and undeniably House of Staunton is number one retailer and vendor when it comes to chess products. Not only HOS offers best quality chess products in the world and offer free worldwide shipment on hundreds of their chess sets and equipments. I am also happy to say that the customer service I have so far received from HOS has been nothing short of perfect. One particular HOS chess set which stands out and which has no match in the world is their Mammoth Ivory set; it simply takes my breath away and although I own hundreds of vintage chess sets made by the best companies in the world such as Jaques of London many of which only in my possession I must admit that HOS Mammoth Ivory set is even superior in quality and art.

I must admit they helped as customer service. It's a little strange because the first few email exchanges made me feel like I was talking to an AI, instead of a human. I bought this chess set, and the material is really strange, it's not wood. Some pieces were skewed, maybe due to heat in the storage where House of Staunton kept them, but when showed the pics, they sent me new pieces. The problem of the new pieces is that the color doesn't match the pieces I had. Anyway, I think that was good customer service, but don't buy this chess set (the pieces are leaning like the tower of Pisa).

I agree! House of Staunton customer service is tiptop. Everytime I bought a chess set from India and it had defects such as cracks, chips etc, I had to send them dozens of emails and photos of defective items and then I had to wait for over a month before I would receive them via super slow Indiapost.
