It all true as the ower of both JOL and HOS sets 15 total, I find that you get

what you pay for in craftsmanship. As I said inthe above post just cahanged my login don't worry, the JOL set ill cost a little more but the waite customes clearence about 30 days is worth it. Now if you don't wont to waite go with HOS.

Well, I learned something new here. I did not know that Fischer and Spassky, in 1972, played using a chess set with a King height of 3.5". And I was surprised to learn that.

Not that I was necessarily expecting them to have used a set with a 3.75" King or the metric near-equivalent (say the current FIDE standard of 95 mm). Instead, what wouldn't have surprised me would have been if they were using a set with a 5" King, or thereabouts, something too large to be acceptable for tournaments today.

Just after posting this, I learned that Fischer and Spassky did play each other, at least for one game, with a set with a 5" King - not at Reykjavik, but during one of the Piatigorsky Cup tournaments, the set being a Herman Steiner set.

Ah, two games, one lost by Fischer in the 8th round, and one drawn in the 17th round, in the 1966 Second Piatigorsky Cup in Santa Monica.
