how much rating is needed to read the 3 volumes complete chess strategy-pachman?

I agree with the recommendation for Pachman. The Pachman middlegame book (I only have the single abridged volume) is one of my all time favorite books. In terms of rating, my USCF rating would probably be about 1550-1600 (based on ICC standard rating of 1700), and I think Pachman is perfect for my level.

Simple Chess is a great book, but it's very small. It would be a great book to read before reading Pachman though, to get a very brief introduction to some of the topics that Pachman treats in much greater detail.

1500 USCF would be fine.

If your 1350-1450 is a chess.com rating, then you should probably wait a bit, or read the books VERY slowly and carefully.

Well, I guess you guys are better than I was.  When I was 1500 I still wouldn't have been ready for Pachman.

Calling my local book store to see if they have it in stock now. on SC.

Might have to wait ( Pachman) as i am still reading another book
