How to get figurine algebraic notation on Word 2010

Hi,

I'm working on some chess material at the moment and would like to know how I can convert a standard Chessbase pgn file into figurine algebraic notation in Word 2010, suitable to be printed (either as a book, or as an article). Has anybody got any experience with this? Can I work exclusively with chessbase and word, or should I be using some other piece of software as well?

Thanks!

Years ago I bought a True Type Font was I was able to add to the font folder for MS WORD, it was a Linares font and had all the symbols and chess board. That worked well as a stand alone with MS WORD but that was a long time ago before they came out with all the free software that is available which I believe is fairly easy to download and use.  But your question was using MS WORD stand alone and I do believe you might need to download a font to make life easier. Just Google Linares chess font and a whole bunch of items will come up. I bought my font from Alpine Electronics as I remember. Have it on a 3 1/2" disk which is useless to me now as I have no way to transfer it over to my hard drive unless I can buy an external drive that would plug into an USB port which I do see on line for $19.99 which includes shipping, guess I will get one since I have many programs on 3 1/2" floppy drive.

http://www.chess.com/download/view/fritz-fonts one or more of these fonts should allow this, I would guess.  But, it's only a guess.

I don't know about Chessbase, but with Aquarium you can export games to RTF with figurine notation.  Here's an example ---->>

OK, to expand a little, I was able to create the document pictured below using only Aquarium and Libre Office.  So if I can do this, imagine what someone who knows what he's doing could accomplish!

Haha Crappov, thanks. That's definitely encouraging - I'm sure if that can be done with Aquarium then there's a way to do it with Chessbase too. Worst case scenario I guess I'll just get that Aquarium software myself, thanks for the input.

In Fritz, which is a Chessbase product, one can go to options-notation and choose "figurines"...
