A small book like this never grows old or very stale and it's really a steal at $7 if your a beginner you can save alot of money getting this one over much more expensive books on the openings why? The author stresses that it's more important to understand the openings and the meaning of the moves and play them in the right spirit vs memorizing lines and lines and lines of moves that you'll forget in a few weeks totally useless and a waste of time. Strong point of the book is that it keeps things simple and doesn't list dozens of complex variations totally over the head of beginners. For learning the general principles, the characteristics of the openings, how to exploit weak squares it's excellent. Borovosky's book is a master piece on opening theory and practice.
Only negative point for the reader might be that it's in descriptive notation but that's easy to learn.
