@MCH818 it wasn’t. Someone stuck those pesky plastic diamonds on. It is a huge club sized set (kh 4.75”). I am happy that I found one of those!

@MCH818 They came off for the most part. Few twinkles left. Will post some after-pics tomorrow by daylight (it is past midnight here)

Thanks for the encouraging words everyone. I got the diamonds removed without causing too much havoc - although a few chips of black laquer came of with them.
The set came with some other issues though.
Note the base and girth - the black queen is a lot leaner and must be a replacement. Its height and overall design is very similar though.
the black king comes in at 94g. Maybe it collapsed under its own weight?
The search is over. I think they only made one of these 😉
Now I need to get them off.. they’re stuck pretty bad!
