Looking for pointers on identifying this chess set as it has sentimental value. Reportedly purchased in St. Louis in 1962. Will take better pictures next time I have access to the set.

Tan and black carved wood pieces with green felt. Resemble Staunton.

Board is a folding travel chessboard made of wood with a tan and brown pattern. Interior is lined with red-purple felt. "MADE IN FRANCE" is tamped on the interior. Bronze latches.

French Jura, I would lean towards Chavet.  Almost impossible to say the maker for sure with these French sets unless the box is marked.  Calling it simply a 'mid-century French Jura set' seems safe to me.

@ferpsesan Possibly.  I have a similar set I think was probably made by Chavet based on piece shapes and the finishing.  Let me guess this set is a 2.75" i.e. 70mm king?  This bishop looks particularly Chavet to me.  I suspect that not all Chavet-made sets have the knight Chavet is famous for, some sets manufactured for export/rebranding had this style of knight.  Or perhaps these sets I am speaking of are "Chardy" sets, where there is some workshop collaboration happening between the Jura makers.
