Is playing video games (Xbox,PS4 or PC) better than chess.

Short answer: nope!
Long answer: How many video games keep being played after a couple of decades? Chess has been around for centuries!

Clearly yes, If chess is so good than why the urge to make video games, howcome video games have a bigger fanbase?

There's a few things that make me happy and both video games and chess is in those things. Stop comparing things. Comparing leads to underestimating something that makes millions of people smile.

Interesting question... I myself, have been an avid gamer since childhood. I played on (Sega Genesis, Super nintendo, Nintendo 64, GameCube, gameboy, PS1, PS2, PSP, PS3, Xbox 360, xbox one, Xbox series.) Just to name a few that come to mind. Including most if not all of the accessories and hardware/software mods available to each kind. I found though that as the years went by, it took more and more exciting of a game to come out to impress me. That the people I played with stopped playing because they became busy with jobs, friends, relationships. Unlike with chess, many people with fulltime careers, families. Etc. Still can put aside 5-15 minutes a day for some blitz games or whatnot. Gaming can be a sort commitment, and I've noticed more social pressure from other players to keep on playing while I have responsibilities. You could argue it's the person I'm talking to, but I find many are like this and don't respect your free time. When I find a good gamer friend that, eventually they they stop messaging me all together or play with someone else on some other game. Having spent all that time on a game with someone that also doesn't seem to value my time, and for that game to lose popularity or my online friends to go MIA. Makes me believe that chess, is indeed more fun and a better way to spend your time.

For me both, board games and video gaming offer entertainment, but they do so in distinct ways. Board games often foster social interaction and strategic thinking, while video games immerse players in virtual worlds with diverse gameplay experiences.

I agree, each game has its unique appeal and can offer endless fun for players of any age. However, I personally find more enjoyment in playing on platforms such as chess.com and https://winz-casino.de/ I just love playing them and they bring me so much joy.
that's great to see, i've been playing chess for a year now, but also I'm into video games, both are the same for me
Well, it's a hard question. Chess and video games are different, so I can't say it's a good idea to compare them.
It's all about the preferences of the person. I like chess and video games almost equally, but now I play video games more often.
Such games work better if you want to relax, unwind, and so on because chess is more complicated; you need to think and analyze. Now I'm really into discovering casino games because they are so popular. I don't really like card games, so I play slots. There are so many cool of them. Here is the site https://unionslots.co.uk/megaways-slots/ where I check for new free slots. I like how easy it is to find a slot to play there; you just have to read the info and see whether it's something for you. I've found a few cool slots there already, and I can say that now I like it more than chess.
Is gaming better than chess.
