Hi, how can I pair the Chessnut Air with Lucas Chess on Linux?

I can't seem to find any "hardware boards" option in the Lucas Chess menus?

Thanks

It's in the "Options > General Configuration > [Boards] tab > Digital board"

Note that for Linux you will also need to load libraries to support Qt5, HID and BLE. Please see the ReadMe PDF file on my web page (https://goneill.co.nz/chess.php#chessnut)

If you use the USB connection you will also need to set up some UDEV rules. I include one in the LinuxUCI.tar.gz file at the end of that web page, but you'll probably need to amend it to suit your Linux distro.

Hello,

I'm trying to make this work with Ubuntu. I checked the readme and installed the mentioned packages. Also went to the General Configuration menu and setup the Chessnut board. However the Chessnut icon is still not showing up on the main screen. What am I missing? Thanks in advance, Tibor

LucasChess is a little different to the other programs that use my driver such as Fritz, Arena, Shredder and so on. In those there is an option on the main menu to activate the board. But in LucasChess you activate the board when you are starting a new activity. For example, if you select "Play" > "Play against an engine" then you will see the option to activate the board at the bottom of the screen. Then when you are playing the game you can activate or deactivate the board from the main Playing menu if you want.

Greetings Graham,

Your drivers in LucasChess works flawlessly on my Fedora 41 box - utilizing a Chessnut Go. I thank you for all of your hard work.

Cheers
