Im currently in the market for an all marble chess set, or something close (idk what alabaster is exactly but i heard its close). Just something that looks sweet and definately with a storage with a price range anywhere from $100-$300

Anyone know any good deals or the best place to find something like this?

Marble Chess Set

I've played with this set, although with slightly different colors, so I can attest to it being a pretty nice one to look at, and reasonably priced.

If that doesn't suit you, I think some jewelers sell some nice marble sets.

Good luck, hope this helps.

I tried "Marble Chess Set With Storage" and found a good deal of things, although I'm not sure what you mean by bottom storage (folding board?). Anyways this might be what you're looking for: http://blujay.com/?page=ad&adid=2023991&cat=15060100

also i believe hanging out in the corner of this site is a way to find stores that sell chess merchandise. (Those will be the best quality, but don't expect good deals).

If you intend to play any 'fast time control' games with it, I would suggest that marble is not a good chess set material.  the pieces will chip and become 'worn' rapidly, and may become seriously damaged if they fall over at anytime, in addition to possibly cracking the board (if it is a marble board).

recommend a durable plastic set - or wooden weighted set - the pieces won't chip easily.

you're right, Bruce, I've got one marble and one onyx chess set and they're both largely held together with superglue Embarassed
