Looking for Kaissiber magazine issue 25

I sent him a private message, and I started thread in their forum. No responses to either so far. Too bad, since I heard that another issue in that magazine has some Bird theory.

Just be persistent then! I presume SOMEONE has a copy of that out there. I would even put out a public shoutout.
I'll tell you what - I will even ask my GM teacher if he has a copy, or knows someone who has a copy of it.

Besided issue 25 (article about Clarendon Court Defense), I'm looking for an issue from 2007 that has something about some Bird lines, but I need to figure out which issue. Thanks for your help on this quest

Paypal refunded the money I paid to the magazine's website. I'm not sure if someone from the magazine heard my request, or if Paypal did it automatically due to the non-response from the magazine (even though I had not yet contacted Paypal about a refund).
In any case, I'm glad that the matter is settled, but disappointed that I found no trace of Kaissiber magazine anywhere, not even on eBay or Amazon. Maybe I need to appeal directly to our German membership?

Maybe try contacting Caissa Editions Bookstore?

I tried that site several weeks ago after finding it via a Google search. I sent an email but never recieved a response. I'll try again in case my original attempt suffered technical difficulties. Thanks for the reminder.

Turbo, what are you needing help with? Why don't you try a class or two with my GM teacher to evaluate the lines? He designs custom repertoires if you work with him. He has already given me a full repertoire on the Dutch and on the ...Qd6 Scandinavian, and we are about to do one on the Catalan as well.

I'm trying to track down some specific Clarendon Court Defense theory published in issue 25 (I know this opening is highly suspect, but it fascinates me anyway). Also some Bird theory in one of the 2007 issues. Stockpiling these for later study (will be able to retire in a few years).
My chess could definitely benefit from lessons by your teacher, but that will have to wait -- I'm presently too distracted by life.

The classes are only 1 hour each, and I take them 1x every two weeks, so they are not too pressing. If you want to consult with him, I can get you two hooked up. Just let me know. He has a massive database so he can easily assemble ideas (and offer improvements as well) on existing theory.

I'm happy to say that I heard from Stefan Buecker, and received a package from Germany containing the Kaissiber issue #25 I had been seeking. He even generously included an additional issue #37 at no charge!
Issue #25 has some rare analysis of the Clarendon Court Defense, and #37 has a section about From's Gambit. I really look forward to studying these. Even though I don't speak German, I will be able to translate the prose into English (with the help of Google Translate), and I already know the German equivalents for the piece abbreviations in algebraic notation.
Thank you Stefan! And thanks also to BirdBrain, IM pfren, and SmyslovFan for helping me contact him!
