Yeah I thought it was going to be your stack of books in the corner. I have one since I don't have deskspace for everything (Endgame and good thought process books get the desk space )

Not what went through your head for the title of the post!! (ah!, ah!). That is for my friend Kevin Spraggettt and is fantastic “ …on Chess”
My intimate chess corner ...
A table and two chairs with about 70-80 years. They were part of Oprto City coffee house furniture that closed for years.
Well… often becomes a large romantic chess table for great battles of today and the past. Sometimes, Spielamann , Duras, Teichmann, Zukertort, Blackburne, Janowsky, Maroczy, Breyer, Tartakower, Rubinstein, Anderssen, Chigorin, Pillsbury, Marshall, Charousek, Bernstein, Reti, Mieses, Winawer, Kupreichik,or Vitolinsh, ans so on, like ghosts surround this corner, but I’m not scare of them! ( The WC are old friends!)
One time I saw a picture (Philadelphia) of Steinitz and Lasker analyzing a table like this, and wished to have a similar one. Years of research and a gift to myself.
And why a post like this?
An attack of romantic “chess nostalgia” or maybe I’m in the mood of “chess melancholy”. But I like it!
