It is round 5 of Nanjing today, the day before a long awaited rest day from this 10 round, double round robin event, and two games are already done, even before 32 moves on each of the two games.

Today, Magnus as white took on Topalov(B) and Anand(W) vs. Gashimov(B). Here are the two completed games.

The clocks read at the time of Topalov's resignation read 1 hour(W) against Topalov's 8 minutes and 37 seconds.
----------
Now Anand and Gashimov:

This game didn't even go 26 moves. It makes me wonder if they just wanted to get the games over with today just to get to the rest day. Maybe Anand wanted to play Magnus in ping-pong. Don't know why I said that?...here, take a look, pictures courtesy of chessvibes.com
Magnus and Anand talking about the big ping-pong game they are going to have during the offday. Magnus is smiling at Anand trying to suck him in by telling him "Nah, I'm not that good."  Looks like Anand might believe him. I guess he hasn't seen Magnus play yet.
Magnus in ping-pong mode in between rounds. I guess if chess goes sour for "Mag-Town"(sorry Danny, I just had to), he can turn to ping-pong.
He looks like Randy Johnson getting ready to throw a fastball

The other game, Wang(W) vs Bacrot(B) will be posted upon completion. Cool
