Need help with vintage chess set

I found a very nice vintage chess set on ebay for only $17.  They are nice wooden pieces with REALLY nice hand carved knights.  The king is 3-1/2 inches and fits perfectly on my new wooden board, which has 1-3/4 inch squares.  And the pieces are magnetic, as is my board, which makes this a great find.

But the pieces are old and the stain has faded.  The white pieces show just a touch of dirt from being handled.  The previous owner, whom I don't know, has refinished the two kings and done a beautiful job.  I would like to refinish the rest of the set, and I wonder if anyone out there can give me some advise.  Thanks.

Try rubbing Formby's Tung oil on the pieces. I don't know that I spelled his name correctly.
