I think the base price when I bought mine last June was 598 Euro for walnut/maple. The brown or red stain was 50 Euro. I don't remember how much the black stain was but I believe it was something like 100 Euro. Extra queens was 30 Euro. Unweighted option is no charge. Shipping to the US was 79 Euro. I paid 757 Euro for a brown stained 1950 set with extra queens. This was last year. Prices have gone up. I don't know what it is this year.
I know this is an older thread and I can't find that elm root and maple board on the Noj web site. Does anyone have a link they can share? I've been looking for something with those tones and a border like that for a while.

The board was made by ThreeTreesWorkshop on Etsy. The link is https://www.etsy.com/shop/ThreeTreesWorkshop.
A solid walnut and maple, 2.25" sq, folding chess board with storage is a tall order. The folding board in the Post#1 by ThreeTreesWorkshop is a keeper for sure. The OP has not logged in for months. It'll be nice to hear how the folding board is holding up after 3 years.
I've seen 2" solid wood, folding board with storage for sale (non custom). 2.25" and solid walnut/maple will most likely be a custom job. And seeing as how the original woodworker is declining to make them anymore, leads me to think that these one-off storage boards are time-consuming, complicated and expensive to make.
After seeing this post I contacted them. They don't appear to make the custom boards at this time.
There are other wood workers you can contact. I used PIthStudios to make a box. It wasn't cheap but it came out very nice.
Here is a good review of Pith. https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-equipment/new-custom-board-maple-purple-heart-foldable
Here is a slightly negative one. https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-equipment/pithstudios-folding-chessboard
You be the judge.

I contacted him awhile back to make me a box but he said he wasn't able to do it at that time. I got the feeling his Etsy business was doing well so he was probably just super busy with that.

I contacted him a few months ago to recreate the folding board and he wouldn't even entertain the idea. Didn't even talk price. 4000+ sales. Close to 1000 reviews. That's A LOT for an Etsy shop. That's great to see.

I agree. That's good to see. That is a lot. I didn't even realize he had that many. I only dealt with him once prior to my custom order request. I bought a pre-made box from him in 2019 for my Collectors. I explained to him all of the poor quality that I received from other Etsy woodworkers and asked him what if I didn't like what he sent me. He was very confident that I would like his box. He said if I did not like it for any reason then he would give me money back no questions asked. He was right. The box he sent was good and I was happy with it.
Speaking of solid wood boards, these are not custom specifically (though the piece holding cutouts were custom sized) Large one is 2.25 inches, smaller one is 2 and 1/8 inch squares:
The 2.25" square boards bags/storage space is large enough for sets larger than 3.75", its my newest one, and is used for taking different sets out as it fits any tournament set.
Pictured with a budget Tal/Soviet set.
Cutout slots, and bags each work great, there is no rattling with one, and minimal movement with the other.
Also of note, pictured here the boards are not flat and are on a soft surface, however each has tiny risers that can be added to the corners in seconds (you can see the little green things in one of the pictures) to make them perfectly flat on a table to minimize the fold gap. (most folding boards sit on the hinges in the middle so the gap is greater).
Nice sets. The one with 2 1/8" square without indices is it made of solid wood? Do you have a link?
Both boards are from “House of chess” they have a folding boards section with a considerable selection, however almost everything is now a days out of stock due to the virus in India. House of chess actually make these boards rather than just resell them. For non custom folding storage boards I have not found anything better in the world, and I have looked. They also make magnetic ones, including large size ones (15 inch +)

I've checked out Andrei's work and messaged him to inquire after prices. At the moment, it's not in the budget for me, but perhaps in the future. He does make excellent products. Also, I posted the image just for the board, the bce design never appealed to me that much. They might play really well though for all I know.
