Open Letter to ChessBazaar: How about the Latvian Set in an Antique Finish?
Thanks, goodknightmike. I couldn't agree more.
(By the way, those are beautiful copies of the Latvian set that you have there.)

You're welcome UpcountryRain, Thanks I love the Latvian sets and have have about 5 or 6 sets in my collection.
I'm not that enthused by the redish orange, but the deeper honey colour to almost ochre would do it for me.
Even if the gods at CB don't hear your prayers, gnmike, I suspect time is on your side anyway.
Amen brother verylate!
I just became aware of this Mike, I really like one piece knights. I also like leather bases. Even if they don't use them often now. However, I can't add any more sets especially at this time. I really don't have the room for anymore. I wouldn't mind seeing them made for others though. I like them. So you can add my name to the list, but unfortunately for me not as a buyer.
If it helps other collectors to be able to get a set made like that, No problem, I just can't buy anything at this time. Good luck, and thanks for sharing Mike, and Chuck.

Hi Ed, actually I'm not compiling a list of prospective buyers, putting Chuck on the list was said in jest.

As witnessed by the many favorable posts on your beautiful 1950s Reproduced Soviet Latvian set, it appears that many collectors would like to see the boxwood pieces in an antiqued finish or a even a reddish/orange finish. So how about making your Latvian set in these finishes?
