@ ShelbyLohrman What about the version one boxes? I've seen some for sale without the horse emblem on the outside, no other markings, sometimes missing a sticker on the outside that resembles the model number sticker you see on the more recent boxes. Often both types marked as Hong Kong. Is the plain box associated with the mexican counterfeits or was the plain type some of the earlier packaging?

In the original 'Ultimate Set' the king heigh is 3&5/8", in the newer versions the king is 3&3/4" tall. JFYI
This is correct. When the Original Ultimate came out it was 3 5/8" tall and was triple weighted. Back then triple weighted meant the piece actually had 3 separate weights in each piece, hence the name "Triple" weighted. In today's pieces, they can be "Single", "Double", or "Triple" weighted and have only one weight in the piece. There is no industry standard.
In my mind, a double weighted set should be right around 2 lbs, a triple weighted set should be 3 lbs, etc.
The V.3 Ultimates weigh in at 3.85 lbs or so. They are ALMOST a quad weighted set...but not quite there yet.
